CHARACTERS
"CALAVELA" - - Real Name: Vela Guerrero - - Female mid 20's from Mexico. - - Powers, Abilities and small backstory: Calavela has the ability to descend into the soil below and ascend anywhere within viewing distance. This makes her unstoppable on land where there is soil, grass, or dirt but useless in say a warehouse that is all concrete. Calavela can also emit a small flame within her hand much like a candle its small almost like a little ball of fire or a lighter out of her fingertip. Her name Vela also translates to Candle in English. She is able to use these flames in dark places or when she is underground to be able to see. She can control the flame to a certain extent. The flames came to her from the spirits of her late brother and father that were murdered in front of her crossing the border. Their spirits are with her for the rest of her journey through life. She may emit a flame from each hand. The red stripe marking on her face also represents the two fingers of blood from the fingers of her dying father that had ran across her face at the moment of his death. She continues to wear the markings on her face during times of battle as a reminder of what she fights for.
"EL OBELISCO" - - Real Name: Vicente Villalobos - - Male late 40's from Mexico. - - Powers, Abilities and small backstory: Strong man with more than above average strength. He is a seasoned Luchador wrestler who is at the tail end of his career and is paid to loose matches that he could still clearly win but he takes the loss in exchange for payment to survive and provide a living for himself and his Uncle which is the only family he has left in his life.
"RANINO" - - Real Name: Ramiro Barrera aka "Rana" - - Male late teens from Mexico. - - Powers, Abilities and small backstory: Ranino possesses the ability to leap and jump to great heights. So much so that he even gets to a point where he can leap over the United States border fence from Mexico when he chooses to. The deformity with Ranino and his legs gives him a springing ability similar to that of a frog thus the translation of his nickname "Rana" which means Frog in English. Poor and once living in the makeshift houses alongside the polluted “New River” Ranino previously lived with his parents whom have both since perished from the cancer they got sick from by living next to the "Rio Nuevos" toxic environment. This was the cause of Raninos deformity and mutation he currently has. Left to fend for himself Ranino joined a group of troubled youth and engages in numerous hustles along the Mexico/ United States border including selling chiclets alongside the port of entry , cleaning car windows and then later doing smuggling for a local narcotic gang.
"AGUIS" - - Real Name: Aguis - - Female Adult Golden Eagle from Mexico. - - Powers, Abilities and small backstory: Aguis belongs to the Uncle of El Obelisco. Aguis is a fully trained hunter / messenger bird with a high level of intelligence. Aguis ends up fully falling into possession of El Obelisco himself and aids in adding to the natural power set of El Obelisco. They are a super team. A force to be reckoned with.
